It's Her Birthday

If I were talking of first impression
Then I would probably say that
She was partly shy partly a loner
Not the one to stick around long enough
To make a conversation

I knew there was more to her
Than she was letting go
I guess what I am  saying is
She was different
Not different bad but different special
I knew it the very first time I met her

When she smiled
Which was of course rare
Mmmmnh I swear she froze time
She gave such a comforting aura
Made me feel all was gonna be okay

Then i always wanted her laugh
When she finally did
It was such a sweet melody ring
Inside my head even hours later
I always expected it to be sweet
Yet when it finally did came
It still caught me by surprise

Finally she became my friend
Life has never been that better
It's like you're lost and suddenly
Your father's calm voice calls
Don't worry kiddo I'm here now
That is how it felt

She is such a person
Who will not wait and watch
But rather be part of the solution
She is my source of inspiration
A role model

And today!
Today is her birthday
But sadly I have no gift befitting
Hopefully this piece from my heart
Can make her smile and all is enough
And I pray that God shall grant her true happiness
